Sharpless 101 – Tulip Nebula

Sharpless 101 (Sh2-101) is an emission nebula about 6,000 light years from earth, located in the constellation Cygnus. It is sometimes called the Tulip Nebula because of the flower it resembles.


Exposure  • 17¼ hours (103 X 10 minutes) @ -20°C over 6 nights

 • Full-color subs were combined with narrowband subs

   ☞ Histogram transformation
